Hey, I have just had to do a urine drug test. I knew about the test well in advance, and had stopped smoking draw for weeks, so I bought myself a self testing kit. Now I was getting negative results with the testing kits I bought for 2 weeks prior to doing the actual drug test. But the urine sample I gave them actually goes to a labaratory for testing. Do I have anything to worry about with them doing it in a laboratory compared to my own testing kits.

When you had tested yourself with the home kits, did you use the first urination of the day?

No, I bought 3 test kits. An spaced them out over the 2 weeks. I did two mid afternoon, then the day of the test, I used the last one on my second urination of the day, as I was bursting wen I woke, an ran to the toilet completely forgetting about the test. I never tried to cheat the home test kits, an never tried to dilute my piss.

Okay I am super paranoid. Long story short I was laid off last December and the company I worked for has hired me back BUT I had to take a urine test today. I haven’t smoked in 8 days and when I would smoke it would only be 2-3 tokes off a bowl maybe 2x’s a week. I took an at home drug test last night & passed even though there was a VERY faint line on the T area on the stick. I bought Omni Clean drink extra strength & drank that this morning, took another at home drug test & passed it again but this time the line in the T area of the stick was much darker still indicating a pass. I took my test at LabCorp today and only using a mid-stream sample in the cup…so I guess my question is do you believe I will be fine or should I look for another job b/c I am screwed. I know the drinks do not remove the THC from the body but I am thinking since I passed 2 at home tests I would be okay but still worried. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!

You have a bit of a problem here. You have taken those home tests after you had consumed fluids. When testing yourself, you should always want to use the first urination when you wake up in the morning.
Taking home tests after consuming fluids skews the test results because you had diluted the THCA concentration in your bladder to where the urine sample registered a negative. The dilution phenomena is only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine and thus the donor would resume testing positive for THC.

I did this before and passed when I held a temp job with the state but this time I am really worried....so bottom line is I am screwed right? BTW How long does it take Lab Corp to contact you back with having a positive result? They did an eCup test which they put it in the "tester" as I was walking out...I really hope & pray I pass this...my friend is a heavy smoker & smoked 36 hours before his test, weights about 115lbs more than I do, drank the same stuff & passed 2 different tests with it...another sleepless night

Okay so I got the call today that I passed!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess that stuff really works and the home test was accurate. Thanks for the help guys!!!!!!!!
