Gonna need to research this cuz I don't have a clue. What I mean to say is I looked into "Topping" & "Evening Out" it's no big. "Tying Down Branches"...???? "Pinching" I think I can grasp...."Twisting"....This stuff is kinda advanced for me. Hey... I APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU & Pushit have done thus far!!!!

I researched some ideas on how to "even out" & it was a relatively painless event. Improvised using some twist ties & opened up the bottom portion of the canopy. Just waiting for the areas that didn't get all of the light to start bushing up. Following your advice pretty much to the word. Thanx again![attachment=o278363][attachment=o278364]

Judging from the newest pics (Post tie down) Do you think that I could pinch off some of the branches to "even out the canopy". I'm a little hesitant in doing this cuz I think the branches may snap. I viewed a bunch of vids on Youtube & they make it look like childs play!!

That's a big azz 1.... Like a main branch! That's all I could pinch off... correct? Could you shoot over some pics on your trees. If you could take a close shot where you pinched it off. If not I understand. All of my "colas"... (& I use this term cautiously because I'm not even sure they are) are looking good? It's kind of a statement/question rolled up into one. Are they in fact "colas"? Btw, I dig this online holiday chatter...

All the branches are going to be your colas. just do some easy tieing to get the branch-tops even and parallel with the floor. (or as close as possible before flip)
-From the pic, they are still close to the main stem.

Ill try to get a pic later. Mines stretched a little bit more, maybe halfway to catchin the top.

I didn't pinch anything off to date. Just tied down a lot of the colas. Gonna send some better shots as well so you can see what I'm trying to convey. Again, new to the scene but am a quick learner.

looks good. Dont worry about gettin every branch to the top, you're gonna cut the ones that dont make it.
