Awesome... Just eyed the same 1 for 17.00$.... Think I'm gonna grab the "Fox Farm" FX14050 Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tiger Bloom Liquid Fertilizer Nutrient Trio Hydro-Formula, 3/32-Ounce Bottles. Total for the items 61.60...Free Ship. Ya think that I should cave & stop guessing about my soil. This will be an on going dillyo so give me the ok & i'll go for it. Ahhhh,,, 1 more thingy. Your were talking about a "MH" light... correct.... which one did you recommend? Don't wanna search through all of the threads. Thanks bro!

I think the FF trio is great. Are you gonna go hydro next grow? If thats a misprint i would get the FF SOIL nutes if youre planning on staying in dirt.

As for lights you pretty much get what you pay for. Im using elcheapos from HTGSupply. They are real cheap magnetic ballasts and i havent had any problems with them so far. They have alot of mh/hps combos for under 200 bucks. I get my FF nutes, grow bags, and pretty much everything except soil from them. Check them out and ebay.

BTW if you get a hps or mh be sure to order an extra bulb. :thumbsup:

400 mh for veg and hps for flower. Two different bulbs. If you can only afford one id go with the hps. Hps is not the best color spectrum for veg but itll work good. It will work great for that area but you have to keep in mind that they put out alot of heat so youre gonna have to figure out a way to keep the temps under control. Whether it be to run ducting and an inline fan or something to that nature. HPS runs cooler temps vs MH but they both still generate alot of heat. Alot of things to consider when upgrading.

As for the nutes make sure they are for soil. You dont want hydro nutes. It will say on the bottle if its for soil or hydro.

Grow cheap, get cheap bud. Get a PH meter man, its the only instrument I use, plus you can use it in hydro if you ever chose to :thumbsup:

Yes, Make sure to get 'soil' specific nutes.

your doing 4 ww so its 100w per plant so i think 400w should be ok but for hps get bigger grow room mate

MH is for veg. but your using CFLs. Just worry about HPS.

FF Trio = Grow big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom

-Yes you will need to look into ventilation and fans with an HPS.

-You want 3000 lumens per sqft in veg / 5000 lumens per sqft in flower.
--So your closet is 6 sqft = 30,000 lumens

You'd be good with a 250w Hps = 29,000 Lumens

Just know, Once you make these steps, YOU WILL BE HOOKED haha

Hey guys:

Couldn't post in the last few days. Issues with the forum!!! Problems uploaded pics today as well. Who knows. I did in fact order the "Fox Farm" Trio.... plus the "PH" Meter.... Should arrive by Friday. In the meantime my babies appear pretty healthy after the flush.... Been EXTREMELY cautious & only fed once since the burn. Any expertise to shell out.

im sure even with a cfl or even hps or mf you still need 100w per plant you can do it but will not get much bud looking in the grow diary and other sites they are small i was told on thc chatroom if you want them good and not crap buds go higher like 400w-600w even with just 4 plants.

Up to like 6-7 nodes. They got REAL BUSHY since my last post. Unfortunately the site was acting bizzaro for a few days & wouldn't allow me access to the site? So. since my last post the babies are young adults & up to like 6-7 nodes. Again this frigg'n site will not allow me to post pics soooooo... Will try to post later today so maybe you will have an idea as to where I stand. One more thingy.... ordered the Fox Farm trio pack & "PH" tester that you recommended . Should receive by Friday/Sat. so at least I'm using tried/true nutes

if you look in the lighting section it will still tell you every grow site will say this take advice or not dont bother me just stating what has been said for many years by every grower new or old.

try uploading the picture to a image hoster as this site will not be fixed for a few more weeks due to bad coding.

im just looking in anyway hope your buds will grow right
