How do you best use this feacher? Mine has is 1000 watt with 50% 75% and 100%

would you like to use only 50% of 1000watts or all of it? duh, use 100% dude.

Yes I have used it at 100% thru a set of plants turned it back a couple of times in an effort to control heat as its been hot here. But I am wondering if anyone is ramping light up or down, after all any time it runs at 50% is less spent on power.. or maybe its just a useless feacher... lookin for some weed wisdom here..

Actually it's a pretty cool feature to have, if needed.... Why??? Because when you run it 50%, you can get the lamp closer than you would be able to at 75% or 100%....

Here is how someone can use that feature.... If that was the only grow lamp they had, they would run it at 50% during the early stages of veg in small containers and have the lamp as close as possible.... Once transplanted into larger containers, they would raise the light and run it at 75%.... Then once transplanted into flower containers, the lamp can be raised again and ran at 100%.... The purpose is to get the most out of your lamp, adjust as they grow....

And like mentioned, running it at a lower percentage helps control heat if needed....

Thanks for your thoughts, that's my gut feeling aswell.. gonig to give it a go with this next set. What do you think about ramping back down say about week 8 of flowering? I work down in time after that..so seems to me that I could cut back to 75% to simulate fall commin. What do ya think??

The HPS bulb light spectrum already simulates fall.... If you decrease the intensity of the lamp, that would be the equivalent of going from full sunlight (100%) to partially shaded (75%).... Know what I mean....

Basically, you'll just cut yield by lowering the intensity after you've already run 100% power....
