Well Hello everyone!

I have done a lot of reading on these boards which have lead to saving my plants many times over. As this is my first post I wanted to make it be something that I for one need help with, and feel a lot of people are also wondering. I am mid way through my first grow indoor, and while this was an experiment more to get into the flow of indoor growing until I had gathered all of my materials for the "real" grow. A little background- I am growing for personal use only, as a medical patient looking to grow about 4-6 plants at a time. I have plenty of experience growing outside, and will have plenty of time to dedicate to the garden. I am looking for a system that will have a good yield output, as well as be able to put it together for ease of use. I would like to eventually automate any areas I can for menial task.

I would like to know what system you use, or recommend and why. Also, and almost as important is what problems have you had or are the systems know for running into. This includes both problems for the system maintenance and plants. I am not looking to know what you would building if you were dreaming after a nice smoke, but what will work for a normal grower on a normal sized project for a normal basis.

Here is the scenario-

4x4x7ft grow tent based on average tent specs, they are all pretty similar
4inch inline fan and carbon filter
400w lamp in reflective hood. MH for 4-6week veg and HPS for flowering
Organic only nutrient

Grow Medium Options:

1. DWC- Bucket System- Up to 6 buckets with 5 gallon size. Buckets will also have top drip feeders installed for better feeding. There are a few of these on the market and Ebay. Most use net pots to hold the plants. So we will go on the basis of a 4-5 inch net pot. The way I have seen these systems built they have rockwool with little rocks around that. Or at least that is my understanding. Is this the case, is it a good way of planting in this method?

2. Top Drip/Rockwool- Top drip system with plants in rockwool cube. We will say plants will be in 4-5inch cubes. Cubes will be on 3x3ft flood table. 2 Drip emitters per plant. Drain to waist.

3. Top Drip/Soilless- Top drip system with plants in 5 gal "dirt bag". We will say plants will be in soilless mixture of coco/perlite 60/40-70/30ish. Bags will be on 3x3ft flood table. 2 Drip emitters per plant. Drain to waist.

Hope to get some good responses and ideas for the system I will be putting together. Any other thoughts or suggestions are welcomed in the process of putting together my new garden.

Thanks
