    Does this look ok, Please look!!

    Hello guys,

    I have just started growing my first plant, I have a 600 watt hps hid lamp, I have been growing it for about 2 weeks but It seems to be very small, Please look at the pics, any advice would be great

    Looks alot better than mine. Mine are stretching when i first used 2 20w flors for starters. Now i've switched to 175 w MH and the concern is heat build up. Need some more fans.

    Well I had to cut one of the leafs of today as it got burnt as I had it to close to the light, Moved it away now, But I thought It would be alot bigger by now

    Wow, thats 2 weeks? I dunno whats up with that...mines 4 days from seed and its bigger than that under a few cfl's

    Maybe you can try to buy a couple of CFLs...

    I mean, with those 600 watts of HPS, for that size of plant, seems to me like you're wasting shitloads of energy (electricity). Try some CFLs until they get a little bigger.

    true does look a bit small for 2 weeks did u use potting soil or just mature plant soil because it may be having problems with making roots stunting the growth?

    yeah get a couple cfl's for veg. hps are better for flowering and will cause stretching if you use only that in veg. and it puts out too much heat, especially for a seedling. get a couple cfls and put them about 1 to 2 inches from the plant and keep a fan blowing on them 24/7. keep your lights on 18 and off 6 hours. what kinda soil are u using?
