Why don't growers organize?

ok if you're growing indoors legally (15 plants) a pound and a half is gonna cost around 1k to produce. Oh and washington state 'legalized' collectives.. 10 people maximum and 45 plant maximum

when you consider i spend more than an hour each day just with maintinence, pruning, cleaning, changing resevoirs, adjusting flood schedules.......................... i have a hard time finding time to do it all.



Marijuana is the most expensive cash crop grown in the united states. Im sure as hell not going to give the shit away. The co ops around here buy their shit at like 180 an ounce and sell it for 300 an ounce.
(these are suppose to be "NON PROFIT", but i consider a 120$ markup quite a fucking profit) Compared to those drug dealers/hustlers, I consider myself a very honest business man.

Just doing the math....LOL. It's a hobby for me and I only trade so it really doesn't matter anymore to me. Just not buying anymore is like the biggest raise I ever got.

Even if after all the overhead expenses, if they were to make 20-25%, they are still paying taxes on it whereas the patient/grower who supplies them gets money tax free....and i'm sure they don't claim everything made, just enough not to get "the man" involved.... Not only this but the owners of these places are putting themselves out there for LEO to target them first, if anything....so in that, I would expect to get paid for the risk involved....

The only reason they, dispensaries/medical cannabis distributors, can get away with selling it for so much is because of the federal and state/non med user prohibition of the substance. If it were legal, prices would drop like crazy.... The average indoor grower would no longer be able to make it as a supplier....

Just thought I would clear this up a bit because I see numbers thrown out all the time that look bad but are actually hardly anything. Since I gave up the Cigarettes and quit buying my Meds, I am actually putting money in the bank, no need to sell any.

You know how long it takes to trim 7 pounds of bud? Hours upon hours. I take that time into consideration.

You know how much time it takes for maintinence?

When i consider the fact that i spend almost 20 hours a week for 3 monthes, for my 1/3 cut of 7 pounds, I feel like i should go back to college. Its still good money but at the same time........growing marijuana is not going to make you millions and put your kids through college.

Just tired of seeing numbers thrown out there like they are supposed to justify the prices. I know full well the time one can put into this. If this is your only source of income I am sorry but I see the prices coming way down as more and more grow. I still wish I could get this kind of markup on anything I sell but have way too much to lose. When I did your numbers I added your 20 hours of trim. I probably wouldn't have even posted again except for your question about me knowing how much maintenance it takes...I grow my own and smoke it all of course I know what it takes, like I said...it is my hobby.
