Watering daily now??
Ok, seems if I don't water daily I'm getting some wilting of the lower leaves. Weather has been mild but plants are large and starting to flower. I'm running two plants per container averaging about 15 gallons each, and yes they are outdoors and flowering in July WOO HOO! I've read that mature budding plants can consume up to a gallon a day.

If you watered well, and only the bottom leaves seem to be wilting, it could just be a natural process of the fan leaves, should only be the fan leaves if natural process....got a pic or two?

Watering daily now??
Well I was hoping they would not get too big so I went with two per container and to be honest figured once they sexed I'd be pulling at least a third of them turning male however as it stands out of 18 plants 16 are female, 6 of them clones.
I'm sure they are not wilting from over watering because the soil is dry and once I water they perk up and yes mostly just the bottom leaves. Full drainage, all containers have multiple drain holes, maybe draining too well.
I should have used sphagnum moss with my soil to improve water retention but I did use about 30% miracle grow soil which has moss. Oh well part of the learning process, next time I need to mix the soil a little differently.

To avoid them from doing this again, you can place the containers in something similar to a kiddie pool, if possible.... This way, you water them until you have about an inch or so of runoff collected.... With the bottom of the pot submerged, the roots will suck up any and all moisture needed.... However if you do this, do not let them go for more than a day with the bottom of the pot submerged....you still want that wet/dry cycle....
Or you can just fill the kiddie pool, or similar setup, with like 5gal or so to see if that is more to their liking....just throwing ideas out to ya....

Watering daily now??
Thanks, I was actually thinking about that as I have some long flat storage containers I think may work. I finally have what looks like a decent crop coming so I want to make sure I don't mess up anything.

As long as you prevent further stress/wilting, they should produce just fine....
Hope all goes well for ya....
