My first experimental grow log.

I have one 3860 lumen output fluorescent bulb. One 20 ounce cup. And two seeds growing in the same cup. I germed the seeds three days ago, and one of them already is showing it's cotyledons. I started this grow 7-9-11.
I have a space of 1.5Feet(Length) X 2.75Feet(Height) X 7Inches(Width).
Don't tell me this is really small, because I know it is. I'm trying to make a quick and short grow that will yield.
The grow box is made of Cardboard, and later I will put smooth tin foil around all inside(without wrinkles )

I will constantly upload pictures as it grows.

Light cycle is 18/6. both are growing in miracle grow.
I water whenever the soil gets a bit crusty.
Theses are bag seeds by the way. Not sure what I'm gonna get.

I can count at least 4 things wrong already but you probably already know them. Have you thought about running 12/12 from the start? Couldn't hurt.

1. Yeah ima start 12/12 in a day.
2. The Solo cups are transparent and roots need darkness.
3. Tin foil can concentrate light and possibly burn holes in the leaves.
4. oh, and the two seedlings are very close. I'm not sure what they are, but if one is Indica, then I will treat that better.

Do you see anything else wrong?

Just out of curiosity, if you know its wrong why not correct it? Experimenting? Im not dogging on you.... To each their own....Just asking.

Yeah I love questions. No harm done man.

All of these things I listed above are easily fixable.
1. I'm going to change the light cycle.
2. I'm going to transplant my favored plant into a dark container. the roots this early on wont reach the sides of the cup, therefore are in darkness.
3. There will be no more tin foil in my new area, when these plants grow out.

Day five
12/12 cycle officially started. 12 hours in.
Added black duct-tape around the 20oz. Solo cup.

Why no put one in a different cup. This way if ya get a male you can just pitch it and grow out the girl?

12/12 cycle from seed all the way to flower is my goal.
