Hello all, this is my 1st attempt to grow inside a cardboard box and appreciate any pointers you have. Im using one 21 x 18 x 46 wardrobe moving box with a smaller moving box inside to get my seedling close to the light. I also have a second box same dimensions that I was thinking about attaching to expand my grow area for more plants and I also have a small closet that may be used further on down. I needed something quick and cheap because I germinated to early before I had a good setup so I used what I had to start. My light is not very good right now I'm using one 100 watt philips bulb and a white plastic reflector. I plan on buying multiple higher wattage cfl's later this week when I get some cash flow. I was also debating on using a 150 watt hps or mh but was concerning the heat in the box. Would this be an issue? Should I maybe just use an HID for my closet? How long would the light im using right now be suitable? For soil I wish I wouldve used something more organic, but for now im using basic MG potting mix. Any good? I also used a solution of 1/5 hydrogen peroxide and 4/5 filtered and distilled water for when I first stuck my germinated seedling in the soil. I cut two small sized holes adjacent from one another for some ventilation and stuck a box fan on one side and covered the hole with thin screening to filter the air a little. I plan on covering one of the holes and putting some exhaust fans at the top sucking the air in threw the vent hole with screening. Any suggestions? I will also put one or two small oscillating fans at the bottom. Another thing I plan on doing later this week is painting the inside white. I've posted some pictures to better explain what im working with and will post more when I improve the box.
