400 watt HPS is a good light for supplying one person....forever.
Fluorescents work well for the first 3-4 weeks of vegging.

Considering the heat build up from HPS she's probably better off with flourescents and LED lights, would only need a small fan to keep air circulating so heat build up wouldn't be an option.
