Re-Potting, necessary?
If you were to grow from seedling in a large pot, water would eventually begin to rot the soil / medium deep in the middle. The plant or seedling would need water and you would have to water the top of the soil as it dries out faster than the bottom.
The plant can only drink so much so eventually your medium would get water logged and rot away.
Kinda like the same reason you dont buy a child a size 12 sneaker when he needs a size 5, hoping he'll grow into them.
