First grow, outdoor, bagseed. Help meOk guys, I got 26 sprouts up. Oldest are 7 days old. Some of em are 3 to 4 inches tall already. They were germed under cfl and led lights, but most are outside now in the sun. They get about 6 hrs or more of direct sunlight. I live in southern US, so I got really long, hot season. Got em in red beer cups now, some in 5 gal. Buckets, using earthgro medium. Not tryin to spend alot of money. I dont think they can be found from anyone, as they are in the middle of a half mile square of land I own, and surrounded by forrestry company pine forest for miles. Please, give me some tips or help. Ill get pics up when my phone wants to cooperate with me. Thanks guys Bobthis Reviewed by Bobthis on . First grow, outdoor, bagseed. First grow, outdoor, bagseed. Help meI also live in the south. The main thing i would worry about there is wildlife. Deer and rabbits love those plants. Also its been pretty dry down here this year so be prepared to transport alot of water that way. The best way that ive heard to keep the pots from drying out so fast is dig some holes and place the pots in them. Thats keeps the direct sunlight off the pots keeping them moist longer. Weezard says that if you get bounty dryer sheets around the base of the plant itll help to keep all the bugs and pests away. Just put a slice in the sheet and place it around the stem of the plant. That should keep ANTS away also. They are real bad around here and love to make beds in the pots. Also you might want to want to set the new seedling in the shade for a couple days and slowly advance it in more light. Its a big change from cfls to direct sunlight. So slowly work your way up or you could fry the little ones. Well good luck and keep up updated.

First grow, outdoor, bagseed. Help meAnother thing you might want to invest in is some Serenade. If you have a tractor supply store or farm supply store in your area its cheaper. I paid 20 bucks for a bottle but its gonna last a long time. Watch your plants real close for any pm. Especially around flower time. The humidity gets so high down here that it became a problem for me last year. If you use the serenade, just spray them weekly while they are vegging then you have a better chance of not having it during flower. Any thing you mist on the plants make sure its in the early morning or late afternoon so the droplets dont magnify the sun. Serenade isnt a cure for it but its a good preventative. Stay ahead of the game. And once again try and deer proof as best as you can haha. You probably already know this but it cant be stressed enough.......Never tell or show anyone your area no matter how much you trust them. Good luck

First grow, outdoor, bagseed. Help meIf you wanna go cheap just get some MG from walmart for soil and fert. They have several kinds of MG nutes so just make sure you use the all purpose for veg and the bloom booster for flower. Each of the boxes of nutes will last for multiple grows. Just make sure you keep them in a dry place cause humidity and moisture will cause it to set up like a brick. They have several choices of MG soil also. I would recommend the MG organic. It cost a little more but i think its worth it. Now a lot of MG soils come with time release nutes already in them. Whether it be 4, 6, or 9 month. Its all your choice what to use. Depending on what kind you get as to how much nutes you should add every other watering. Say you get the 9 month, you shouldnt have to add nutes the whole grow unless you want to. You just kinda play it by ear. Hope this helps a little. Good luck

First grow, outdoor, bagseed. Help meYea the serenade is a concentrate that you mix with water and spray the plants. I personally havent had to deal with pm since i started using it. It doesnt smell that great but youre outside so who cares haha. IMO theres nothing wrong with MG. You were talking about going cheap thats why i mentioned it. You can always make your own soil. Theres all kinds of cheap soil recipes on the internet. If you make your own i would strongly recommend some dolomite lime to help with the ph. Im using FFOF but its like 30 bucks a bag around these parts but im really liking it so far. If you see a soil called Hyponex, stay away from it. It will turn grey and hard as a rock. I suppose you could get it if you wanted to patch some holes in the driveway. haha Originally Posted by Bobthis Originally Posted by Bobthis

First grow, outdoor, bagseed. Help meHahaha. I got a long, gravel driveway, so that dirt would do me NO good! I been using earthgro, and its been good so far. I got a few more bags, too, so ill probably stick to it. Its good midgrade bagseed. This is a trial for me, see how it goes and learn a bit before gettin some seeds that cost alot$. So far, I think its goin good. Thanks for the wisdom, my friend. :smokin: Smoke it if you got it :smokin:

First grow, outdoor, bagseed. Help meHey man, got a few pics up in an album in profile if you wanna check em out. That plant broke ground 7 days ago. Does it look ok, or too stretched? From what I can tell, they look to be on schedule :smokin: Smoke it if you got it :smokin:
