Hey Mac, did not intend for it to sound that way. Just that there was a lot of good information and conversation in the other thread that can not be continued.

Im not here for the politics, just good information / conversation on Plasma lighting.

The spectrum shows promise whilst not optimal however, the interesting part is that they have doubled the light intensity (yes I know, in lumens at least) from the STA 40 series without having to up the wattage dramatically.

Its great times ahead as time goes on, I can forsee a clear and present threat to HID.

If only Luxim could as you say, get the colour spectrum down lower to the 2000k area, its show time.

The G2 from Polar Ray uses the STA 41/02 series puck, and your right, while it is a step up from their STA 40/02 series, this new puck gives twice as much light (and a slightly better spectrum) with only a slight increase in wattage.

PS. No disrespect intended to board management.

New Luxim Plasma STA 60 series As the other thread started by OldMac has been locked (why the thread was not cleaned up and left open for all to use I dont know), this thread has been started to talk about the newest addition by luxim. The new plasma puck is beleived to have an increased wattage (up from 300w with their STA 40 series) and double the lumen output (up to 40,000 lumens) with a slight increase in wattage and a better spectrum in the 4,500 cct range giving more red than their previous examples.
