Akiller, I appreciate the tough love, and I know all about the chemicals released into the brain when junk foods are ingested. I know you are so right. Yes, I have yet another addiction to get over. FOOD, junk food, the bad carbs. Today I started cutting out the sugar. I am going to try really hard. I did it before, I can do it again. I was able to push my appointment back until 2.5 weeks away, so I've got a little time left..... please pray for me!!

One good note though--about my heart: I was just in the hospital with arrythmia, (sorry, spelled it wrong) an irregular heartbeat, because my potassium level dropped, even though I eat a lot of potatoes and bananas and apricots, things full of potassium. The problem is that my blood pressure medicine is leeching the K out of my system, and when it drops below 3.0, I have an irregular heartbeat, causing crushing chest pain. I had to call 911 last month and I ended up having all kinds of heart tests, including a chemical stress test, a bubble EKG and a couple of other ECG's. The good news is that my heart is OK!! Now we are working to keep my K levels up. I'm on prescription K. I was just in the hospital Thursday for bladder surgery and my K level was 3.2. It is supposed to be normally for a human 3.5 - 5.0.

So I appreciate the tough love. I'm cutting out all sugars starting today, including breads, rices, potatoes, fruits, everything. Only eating meats, proteins, eggs, cheese, yogurts, dairy. I can do this! And hopefully I'll be okay.

Thank you also, to the rest of you, except for SmokeMyPiece, who didn't apparently read my post. :wtf: Thanks for that rebuttal, BurntToast! Thank you all for the advice. I'll let you know how things turn out. Wish me luck.....
