fluorescent first grow
This is my first time grow so i need some advise. I have a square foot cabinet where I've started to grow 10 plants. Im using 4 fluorescent tubes adding up to 28 fluorescent watts. I have them hanging two inches around the top of the plants. I put tin foil covering the sides and top of the cabinet. (shiny side up) am I going to have a successful grow?

It should work for a week (just for seedlings). Youre talking about a 1 sq ft space?

You have adequate space and light for the seedling stage. Once you reach veg you are going to need more space and light, you can veg 4 plants under 125w of cfl light, but only if you are keeping your plants small. Once they hit the flowering stage you need 125w per plant minimum imo. You need to a bit of reading and check out a few cfl grow logs.

3 more sprouted today and the other two grew an inch just from yesterday. With the tin foil in there its really bright, and by the way there growing, are you sure i need more light just for veg?
