can someone explain how the $0 charge for renewals kicks in ? It's unclear to me in the form. Does it only apply to those receiving SSI ?

You need to be on SSI (Not SSDI) or Food stamps & have proof.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a Federal income supplement program funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security taxes):
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSD or SSDI) is a payroll tax-funded, federal insurance program of the United States government. It is managed by the Social Security Administration and is designed to provide income supplements to people who are physically restricted in their ability to be employed because of a notable disability:

I wonder why ssdi is not included since us who are on disability are hurting as much as someone on regular ssi

SSI is a much lower monthly award is for those that are not eligible for SSDI (Not enough work credits) or those whose award is very limited. However I agree that those on SSD should still qualify but the powers to be obviously don't agree.

Thanks everyone for clearing up the confusion. It's all just aggravating. I accidentally did not look close enough at my expiration date and noticed (duh) it's up later in the week. Under the new rules, no card no dispensary - doctor paperwork is no longer valid for prescription fills. I'm hoping CDPHE is back on a decent time frame for turning paperwork around. Supposedly, they are doing renewals in a 3 week / 21 day time frame, but between the renewal and doctors' fee , ouch ! Thanks for letting me whine.
