Prices are moving up finally
I don't mean to sound confrontational but I've heard"outdoor bud isn't worth shit" nonsense before and IMO statements like that aren't "worth shit". I've had outdoor grown bud so damn tight you could play ping pong with them and they would stay intact. When you're talking $300+ an oz though then a blowjob from a hot babe should come with it. Just because you can flush nutrients through your roots and control your environment you can't duplicate mother nature.
It's just like when $2 buck chuck wine was dumped on the market, people tried it and actually liked the stuff and started snapping the stuff up by the case. I watched a demo on a food channel with these chef's sampling wines, all but one picked the $2 buck chuck over the much, MUCH more expensive wines. Just because you're paying 50% more for something doesn't mean you're getting something 50% better.

I find that indoor usually tastes better simply because it is fresher but is usually not near as strong as outdoor. I have always gone for the strongest weed with the best taste with strength being the most important.
I am now aware that some folks on this form are actually growing weed that does not get you that high for treating certain ailments. They want the pain relief and other properties of marijuana without the high feeling. If this is what you are looking for then indoor weed will be fine for you. If you want weed that will get you really high then generally you should go for the outdoor.
I have constant back pain that I treat exclusively with marijuana. I find that marijuana is just marginal at actually reducing the pain but allows me to not think about the pain. I use cookies mainly for sleeping at night. I need really strong marijuana. If I have to think about whether I am high or not it is not working.
I use a microscope to verify that every plant I grow is at the same level of maturity before harvesting. This allows me to verify which plants are actually the strongest.
I know that there are a lot of outdoor growers who harvest early due to paranoia, misinformation or greed (cartels) etc. that give outdoor weed a bad name. The same can be said of some indoor growers. The grower can definitley affect the quality of the weed so comparisons can be difficult. Fully mature weed is good whether grown indoor or outdoor. It is just that properly grown outdoor weed will be stronger.
Just my 2 cents.

Indoor growing became popular in the 80's when CAMP began raiding outdoor crops in the national forest, by 1988 prices had skyrocketed to $65 an 1/8th in CA. People started to move indoors to avoid law enforcement however this process is much more expensive and that pretty much is the only reason indoor growers charge more for their crop. I had a guy tell me outdoor isn't worth shit and I'd be lucky to get $1,000 a lb for it. IMO this guy didn't have a clue what he was talking about. I saw a chick on budtrader looking for bud and explicitely stated "don't try passing that outdoor shit off on me".
The biggest advantage of growing outside is your yeild is double or triple that of indoor growing.

you guy's really think outdoor is a better product? Sure the Sun is likely better source of light than what we can make indoors.. but there are so many factors you can control inside..
leaving the lights off for 24hrs before a harvest to up trich production.. using blue dominant light to up it.. no pests/pesticides, you can perform a proper flush.. your 100% in control of your nutrients and your environment is 100% under your control..
I'm not knocking outdoor.. but, I would wager that if you grew two clones of the same plant indoor and outdoor, the outdoor would be bigger, but the indoor would be more potent and taste better.
On a related note.. where I am it's still raining, and its nearing july.. this summer is going to suck for outdoor for anyone who is relying on that for a healthy supply. there should have been nearly a month and a half of bright long days already..

Don't think mites aren't a problem indoors, I've had them and I've seen them on many other indoor crops. 24hrs of darkness before harvest is a myth, all my plants are in containers so I could do this if I wanted. I'm 100% in control of my nutrients and environment isn't much of an issue now through harvest as we'll have about 90% sunshine until then. In the end considering the cost/effort vs yield you can't convince me it's THAT much better. I see growing indoors as an option if it's the only option, I've done both and indoor really isn't worth my hassle and cost. I can tell you right now my fall crop plants will be more then double the size of the indoor crop I grew this spring. The clones I took off of them are already larger then the plants I harvested and we have two full months of sun before flowering. One plant is almost as tall as I am. An outdoor greenhouse gives you all the benefits of growing indoors but with the natural power of the sun.

Club prices are extortion, if you're paying that much and have a script start growing your own. NOBODY should pay that fucking and they don't have to.

Thats the price i give the clubs not the price they give me.
i thought this thread was about prices going up, and that being a good thing.
So us growers get paid a bit extra.
right? or am i wrong?

Sorry, my misunderstanding. Growers SHOULD be getting more it's the clubs that are raping people including growers. Nobody should have to pay more then $25 and 8th or $150 an oz. Some asshole from So. Cal emamiled me on budtrader when I was looking for some Thai bud and told me he had it and I would pay $325 an oz, I emailed him and said I COULD pay $325 but I wouldn't just based on principle.
