What? Seriously? Dude, some of these people can barely write, let alone read. It has nothing to do with debate or discussion. It's all about monopolizing the space. They never get bogged down in debate b/c they don't know the facts and so they know they can't win. So they quickly move on, change the subject with meaningless one liners designed to provoke. Repeat. It's a pretty common strategy employed by pretty simple people.

It's a real shame the mods around here have allowed this to happen. It similar in so many of the forums here. That's what happens when 16 year old's are allowed onto this site to whine about getting busted with weed in school. It's what is driving people away from here, that and the insta-ban policies for anything that smacks of criticism.

I'm honestly curious what you mean here? Some people tend to view us as the "bad guy" when in fact I am here solely to keep the peace. The 18+ rule has almost totally done away with what we used to see with the underage kids.

Now seriously, try telling me that if someone kept spamming your 'haven' for a new board, saying this board sucks, etc, that the first thing you wouldn't do was delete it? Of course you would, it's only natural.

I'm just baffled how you think the mods are ruining the board when in reality it is the relentless sour members continuously testing their limits that is ruining it. I more than anyone appreciate the few that have recently left because their contributions do not go unnoticed, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't pain me to hand out stupid infractions.

Call me cliche', but I assumed we could all just get along.

You need to ask yourself why it is that a group of members left to start their own thing. They didn't do it because they enjoy the challenge of learning a new technology or because they wanted to incur the very real costs associated with such an undertaking, or because they have extra time on their hands. They did it because they grew tired of the capricious and often absent moderating that could not deal with constructive criticism. I have watched over the past 4 - 6 months as member after member that I respected received bans, some temporary and many permanent. Let's not pretend that this started over a few members posting up a URL to another site. The beef with the direction this place has gone and with moderators on this board stretches back much further than that. Just look at the comments by Boulderbuds for an indication of the direction you have taken:

hopefully at some point things can get back to where they were but frankly, the whole forum doesn't seem to attract much these days. Even the stickies in the colorado section aren't posting much.
Bolderbuds isn't a member of a different board and his comments certainly weren't solicited. Once I found that other site few weeks back I did make an effort to pull in a few of my friends. But that is only natural and should not represent a threat to you. It amazes me that a board with 60 members could cause you so much anxiety that you would put their URL in your banned words list. Do you do this with other sites such as International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums? No you don't. Yet members here regularly post pointers to their forums.

Head over to reefer**v**.com and engage them in discussion about what went wrong. I'm sure you will get a constructive response. Post a URL pointing back here. I am certain that they will not delete it. They are about building community, a wider community and they realize that people can be members of more than one community. Heck, I'm still here, right? But OK. Out of fairness and respect I will modify my signature. That was unwarranted. It just reflects the sadness I feel for the community lost.

Concerning the under 18 policy - I have not seen a detailed or intelligent explanation for what the new policy is why the old policy was changed. I think you owe that to members. If I have missed it please point me in the right direction. Frankly, it is immoral to cater to under age members. I want no part of that. And by way of warning, do not be surprised if an irate parent with dollars to spend comes after you for contributing to the delinquency of their child. I know I would think nothing of throwing 20K at a lawyer to make you pay if I felt it was warranted.

If all you did was ignore threads posted by others that would be one thing. You don't even return to your own threads or the comments that they generate. As stated, you have no intention to engage in discussion, period. You come in here every few days and AstroTurf these boards with one-line right-wingnut conspiracies lifted from the blogosphere and then you move on. I'm sure you do the same at multiple board. It's all about screaming the loudest and longest. You contribute nothing. You bring nothing to the party. Your posts and participation here is little more than spam. Which leads users like me to criticize the mods and / or cancom which often results in a ban.

** I'm pretty sure you won't have read this far so next time I see that you have posted a new thread I'll cut and past immediately so perhaps you have a chance to respond, unless we hear from you here first.
I'll give it a few days. I notice your posts run anywhere from 1 - 3 days apart.

WTF, they banned the website you had in your album? I forgot the name of it and want to check it out. Guess i'll play wheel of fortune and figure out what follows reefer with V being the third letter. Another reason why this forum has gone down the tubes.

See the post by It's A Plant below. He gives you the second word. As I said, people can be and often are members of multiple communities. It is a bit childish that this would represent a threat to anyone, especially a site like this with a recognized brand and a URL second to none. We could all go away tomorrow and users would still arrive by the boatload on the wake of the URL alone. If anything they should be proud of spinoffs. There is plenty of room for cooperation and cross fertilization. I have come to realize that there are those who set policy (owners) and those that implement policy (moderators). My guess is that moderators have very little influence on the policies that shape the direction this place goes. That must be incredibly frustrating which may explain why we have not seen P4B other mods for some time. I do wish them luck and I hope they are able to sort out their internal differences. I'm have enjoyed this place in the past and hope to continue into the future.

I don't mean to bust your balls here It's A Plant but I have to ask for some public follow up. As stated previously, the complaints about the direction of this site go back months and months and are definitely not limited to this forum. So I got to thinking, have the rules around here changed? So I took a look and now I have some follow up questions. The rules state among other things:

if you are not a medical marijuana patient or interested in anything medical marijuana related and ONLY interested in social posting, than these message boards are NOT for you. If you are posting purely off-topic social threads in the messageboards, consider that your posts will be deleted and your account reset. -- If you are deemed making immature, contentless posts, consider your account will also be be PERMANENT banned. (this is up to mods and admins)
And yet we have a troll on this site who does nothing but AstroTurf these forums with countless immature one lines intended to inflame. S/he doesn't participate in any other forums AT ALL and has stated publicly that s/he has no interest in participating in any meaningful discussion. You hand out bans for minor criticisms but this guy runs wild. And you wonder why people are pissed off?
