I recommend 4 under the 250 cause you will get a better square under the light. 250w is good for you otherwise, and 240$ is a decent deal, my 1k ballast cost 200$.

I'm only planning on growing two autoflowers at a time from now on, maybe three at most. So I went to the hydro store to see what I could get for the next grow, because this 24" 4 bulb T5 I got just isn't penetrating the canopy. They had these 250W Switchable Sun System enclosed ballast mini-systems for $200, or $240 with an Agro Sun bulb. Would the 250W be enough for two plants, or should I go with the 400W?
