what size veg light is good?

so i have a 600 watt hps for flowering. i curently have 200 watts flurecent for vegging. i run a continuious grow and i feel like i need more power in the veg room to optimize my output in the flowering room. so im wondering what is a good size metal halide to use for veg if i have a 600 wat hps for flower?

If those are actual watts I would ditch that and get a 250w mh or 400w mh. If your 200w light is on 24/7 you can run a 400w mh for about the same price. Your veg should be about 1/3 or 1/2 for flowering watts depending on how big your flowering room is.

But for your setup and if you think your going to continue to grow I would get a 400w mh set on 18/7. As you can always use this for something if you decide to expand. A lot of people will recommend getting a T5, but I have a t5 light and it does work great, but to me in my setup I feel that a 400mh would surpass my 435w T5.
