unususal growth
Into budding 8 weeks and getting all puffed up. Out of nowhere several little finger-like growths appear where pistols normally would grow. I am wondering if these growths may be pollen sacs. They do not look like a typical pollen sac. I have plucked several from the plant when they first appear and they do not seem to contain pollen. What are they? Are they pollen sacs and if so should I pluck them or leave them alone?

Definately a male dude all females look the same(Buds), and all males look the same(Pollen sacks), so if it doesnt have buds and hairs, then theres ur answer.

Oh it has buds. If you read my message properly you would see that I said buds are into the 8th week. They are two colas at least 15 inches long and 4 inches in diameter with lots of trichromes. I indicated that the strange growth was growing next to the hairs (pistols) from these huge crystally buds. You aren't talking to a novice. Males end up in the mulch pile. Please people, respond after you have digested the question.
Anybody got a clue what these little growths may be? Looks kind of like a tiny little finger nail. Maybe it is just a natural part of this particulat flower. I will see if I can get a good picture.
Hey, BabBong, Is a male flower just another term for a male plant? If not what is a male flower?

Last minute hermie action going on there....pick them off. I would watch real close and if they mature in male looking flowers pick them off.

fingernail type growth? ..... ick.... what texture is it? so it's flat and it protrudes from where a pistil would shoot from? is it possible that it is a large chunk of dried resin that somehow made a weird shape?

Thanks for the tips. I agree with MrLzyBones and mellow mood. I also think I have some last minute boys trying to bud in. I mean but in. I have only seen three or four till this morning when I noticed another half dozen or so. No sign of testes yet. I am keeping a close eye so as not to inseminate the other ladies in my heirem. I will get out the tweezers and pull a few. I will try to post a pic. I can see the finish line. Harvest will likely be in 3-5 weeks. This plant is my second lady from commercial and it has more trichromes at an earlier stage than plant #1. Double cola almost about to lose its balance. Time to tie her up.
