IMHO, I think you got cracked!!!! You bought 40 to 50 bucks tops worth of materials.... If you can return it, do so. Take note of everything that came with the kit so you can get it yourself. But get yourself quality equipment. I'm sure you want to save money but if you want better than just ok results, you will have to spend more than a couple hundred bucks, just to start....

What I saw wrong with the kit - The air pump - Made to oxygenate an aquarium of 5gals. This air pump will be insufficient for six healthy plants. The one airstone that comes with it will only release bubbles to one area of the res, again insufficient. The dry nutrients is also something that you would be better off without. You'd be better off using water soluble nutrients, liquified versions, especially for hydro. Also, they don't say what nutes they are so they could be selling you crap in a bag.... The light is also insufficient for more than mediocre results. The 10,000 lumens it puts out will not reach further than 5-6 inches. And you need to remember, those 10k lumens are spread over a 20" x 6" area. So anything further than 6" from that lamp will grow but won't surpass your expectations.....sh*t, it might not even meet your expectations....

This kit will only give you a headache. It is a starter kit but still lacks the right air pump, enough air stones and enough light to produce a quality end product with satisfactory results.... And possibly the wrong nutes but I wouldn't know because they only listed the bag of nutes as "a three months supply of dry nutes". More than likely not the stuff you want....

Just my opinion though....
