First indoors grow Log

This is my second grow the first one was outside and did not turn out because 3 days of rain and then 3 days of like 80f+ killed it

This is a little late i would say its about 1-2 weeks old
2-3 days For germination and the rest for seedling growth.

Ive got it under 2 26w and 1 23w CFL with an 800rpm computer fan blowing cold air through the bottom so it stays nice and cool. The desiccant is just to get any access moisture out

Up until i got this one to grow it took 3-4 attempts to get the process of germination to seedling right. Let those seeds be remembered :C

For germination I sterilized a foam cooler cube with 70% alcohol to make sure no mold or germs were present. then i just used the paper towel method on a glass plate inside the cooler with it sitting on my PS2 power brick to keep it warm with the lid off so that humidity didn't create mold. Then after germinating i got some jiffy seedling mix and baked it in the oven at like 175f to make sure it was sterile put it in a foam cup made sure it was wet dropped the seed in root down. Ive just been giving it Deer park water that i got for $0.50 per 3 quart jug <great deal btw>. Then voila perfect germination to seedling

I might of been a little meticulous with the prep but it wasn't that hard to setup up and it doesn't hurt to be safe

what spectrum are these lights?just asking cos they look like warm white(2700k)
when im taking pic of my wee ones then the bulbs are like blue or smting on da photo.

I'm not sure what Spectrum they are but if you think they are 2700k i could pick up some 6500k or something. I am just using them because they are making it grow for now and its all i had right now. 2700k will be alright now tho right?

I have found that the easiest way to germinate is this:

Place your seeds in a shot glass of distilled water and cover the shot glass with a cup. Leave it for 24 hours. The next day you will notice that the seeds have cracked open and the tap root is starting to come out. I then use solo cups and the dirt mix that I will use for the entire grow. (I use fox farm ocean forest) Place the seet about a half inch down and cover with the dirt. Water well and then put a ziplock bag over the cups to create a humidity dome. Place your cups under your light. When the seedling sprouts take the bag off and mist for the next couple of days until the seedling looks about like yours do now. That's it. Very simple with almost 100% success. I blame the ones that dont pop on the seeds. lol

I forgot to say i did soak it in water till it cracked then into the paper towel to grow some more.

I also did the cover thing but it caused them to mold so i didn't do that again

I love being able to see noticeable growth it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy when i know it is trying its best to grow. Now i feel bad that i haven't got the 6500k lights yet :C

I'm not sure what Spectrum they are but if you think they are 2700k i could pick up some 6500k or something. I am just using them because they are making it grow for now and its all i had right now. 2700k will be alright now tho right?

it will say that on the bulb or packet.cos 2700k is for flowering and 6500k is for vegging

Since i have so much free time i just take pic each day (super-close up ftw) My shaky hands have gotten better lol

Now im using 2700k bulbs apparently but does this seem like acceptable growth?

Also I have some miracle grow that i will make like 1/4 strength but when would be a good time to start giving it?

Added a makeshift shroud for the light out of a dubble bubble bin that is like 9in tall by like 6 wide and plain white plastic but man i shouldn't have looked into the light that was beaming out lol

Its not as blue as in the picture looks its much clearer
Also this is the miracle grow I'm going to give it. It probably isn't even 1/4 strength but when would be a good time to give the fertilizer based on its size
