Summary:

Cooked oil at 310 F for 30 minutes and it is all brown and I am worried that I ruined it

Details:

I usually make firecrackers, but I got some really primo bud and wanted to make sure I got the most out of it, so I decided on coconut oil instead of firecrackers for a better extraction.

I decarboxlated at 290 F for 7 minutes. I always do this, even for fire crackers.

Then I ground up the bud and dumped it in a glass bowl containing some melted coconut oil and stirred. It was a nice green color.

I put the bowl of ganja coconut oil in the oven at 310 F (155 C) for 30 minutes. I've used this temperature plenty of times before, but I usually dont have time to do it for 30 minutes.

To my horror, it was all brown and not great smelling. I don't know why this happened! I've even done 320 F for 20 minutes and it didn't turn brown.

I have an important concert to go to tomorrow and this was the last of my stash. Should I be worried that I ruined all the THC goodness or did I just destroy all the pigments and terpenes?

How bad is this? Suggestions for the future?
