I wonder why Kohl-Welles is adament about registering?

Reading thru SB 5955 and she seems registering is the most important thing. Why the heck did they come out with the non-copy paper if that won't work? Seems we already have something to show if needed a registry is just a bunch of BS...It's like she wants to be known as the one that cares but all her bills seem to have the potential for a lot of harm with just a change in leadership....like an Election. I just can't understand why registering is so important to her? More so it seems than getting a decent Bill through.

It is hard to read but it seems to me a bunch of counties and cities could go dry and there would be a serious lack of Medication for patients. Like down South with dry counties for Alcohol. Would a patient get harrassed if caught with possesion in a dry county? Would a patient still be able to grow their own in a dry county?
And we never failed to fail...it was the easiest thing to do.

The legislature obviously made a mess out of this whole thing. All they needed to do was specify how a legal dispensary would operate and broaden the rules for co ops a little and they couldn't even do that without mutilating the whole thing. Hopefully none of it passes and we just stay where we are till someone with some common sense writes a new bill.

It really is sad that they have to totally screw up such a simple thing...And then PRETEND they care....All they want to do is heap more and more rules on everyone. Is she being paid by someone????

Currently the atmosphere in this state is very worrisome. I plan on going into the darkness for awhile, way too concerning now.

Well I hope you keep popping in here from time to time. I get the same feeling, something is going to happen. It still just amazes the hell out of me that these people can make such a big stinking deal about a plant. I did see that they are trying to change cannabis to schedule 11 in Washington for whatever good that will do. Guess then they can write prescriptions? Just more BS as I see it. Someone needs to ask Kohl-Welles what would become of her list if some totally anti-drug person becomes Governor?

Well fine and dandy, but the DEA is the agency that 'schedules' drugs and the State cannot change Federal law. So it is all a big crock of crap. I will be lurking

The state can if they take the lead. The 10th Amendment supplies the tool that any governor or state attorney can use to kick the DEA out of the state. The 1oth has already been used in some states for decreased laws governing firearms. In fact our own state is working on a bill that overides the federal law for ownership of silencers for guns. If it works for guns it will work for plants. All it takes is one governor or one state attorney general to step up to the plate and start fighting for its citizens.
