Nimbin

Hurray! I went to Nimbin the other night and it was even better than I expected. Nimbin is about a 2 and a half hour drive from my house and I had been planning on going because they were having a big festival to celebrate marijuana. The whole atmosphere of the town was really mellow and laid back, the place tripped me out even before I was stoned. It was completely different to any town iv ever been in. People were smoking j's on the main street and some even smoking pipes, weed is very open (for example me and a friend had bowls in the back of someones van that we didnt even know and all of these other randoms who no1 knew kept coming in for bongs). There were cops there but I think they were just there as crowd control. Its as if the marijuana laws dont apply to Nimbin.

There were heaps of alternative stalls, "special" cake stores etc. Wherever I went there was some form of really trippy music playing. There was a cannabis cafe, a 24/7 bakery (where I shared a j with some guy I didnt even know), a pub, a weed accessory store (bongs, pipes etc, all pretty cheap too), heaps of food and alternative stores. I ended up getting some nice hydro, 5 grams for $50 (and thats Australian too), heaps of trichomes. I hadnt smoked in about 4 days so the whole night was a bit of a blur . They have very good weed there, I had 1 bowl and was gone.


If anyone is ever in Australia around April-May I definitely recomend you go to the Nimbin weed festival, you will not be disappointed. I must mention the fire show, was very trippy . Well, Im off to listen to some music as I am really friggen wasted

and you are right, the police presence is for crowd control purposes, not to fuck with the smokers

yeah cool ive been 3v times its bitching, did u go to the nimbin museum, where they show all the history and shit?
Ive spent many an hour at that table behind the dealer's alley, smoking it up with stoners from all over the world. good times....
did u get any of those shrooms they have in happy high herbs?
