Can Filter VS Organic Air Charcoal Fiber Filter....

Wondering because it's starting to get stinkier than a mofo! The fiber filter is attracting me because of it's smaller size than the can filter, 6". I was only able to find two reviews on the fiber filter. One said it was great, worked awesome. The other said it didn't stop the strong odor. So here's the questions to y'all......

Has anyone used the organic air charcoal fiber filter? If so, have you used a can filter as well? Which would you recommend?

    Any input is appreciated...

Can Filter VS Organic Air Charcoal Fiber Filter....

Decided to get the fiber filter to try it out. Hooked it up and it did what it was made for..... I want to say it caught 99.9% of the odor.... All I could smell is that carbon smell.... Will report back in a month or so to let y'all know how it works over time....

    Happy Growing!!!

Can Filter VS Organic Air Charcoal Fiber Filter....

How Big is the Fibre sock compared to the usual carbon filter in comparison, obviously they come in different sizes same as the Can shape ones, but to do the same job as a 600mmx200mm Rhino Filter, how much smaller would my Filter Sock be, and what is the price differnce going to be, (Rhino 600x200 £145.00), Cheers S.K

    It's about 1/3 - 2/3 the size of a can filter....

As far as price difference, you're going to have to figure that one out......

It's been a little over a month now and I have to say that I am impressed with this filter.... It does capture the odor however the manufacturer states that dust particles can affect the ability to capture odor so the filter must be cleaned every month or so.

Well it's been a lil past a month now and I have to say, the manufacturer was right.... I noticed the smell coming through the filter so I removed, sprayed down with a shower head and let it sit to dry. The drying time took longer than when it was time for lights to come on. I could tell that air wasn't penetrating the fabric as it would if it were dry so I let the exhaust blow on it overnight. After it was dried, it worked just as it had before and captured 99.999999999% of the smell. Only a trained K-9 would be able to smell the other 00.000000001%, but he would have to be in the same room....

So this is my review of this filter. Hope it helps someone make a decision in the future....

    Happy Growing!!!!

Can Filter VS Organic Air Charcoal Fiber Filter....

I use the Can 9000 carbon filter.

I think it works great, however, when the humidity get into the 90's you can notice a smell.

Keep your humidity down and the filter will run much more efficiently. I never tried a fibre filter. Interesting though. Except I can't afford to remove the filter and wash it.

    Take care

The only negitive I hear about the fiber is the life is shorter. Interesting washing it helps. You would think it would just filter the water.
