    Greed at the Market...

QUOTE=killerweed420;2198845]I would be careful at these markets. I would expect them to get hit by the feds before the end of summer.[/QUOTE]

Why spread unnecessary fear based on assumptions and parnoia? Even IF the Feds raided the markets, the law states that you are allowed to have up to 24 ounces of dried material on your person with a valid certificate.

They are NOT even arresting owners of co-ops when they raid them and steal all the medicine. They are not arresting anyone unless you beat on your woman, committ another crime or are just too stupid to be polite and respectful to the law if they come.

I have vended at almost all of the markets here in Washington and had my picture on the front page of the Seattle Times on February 27, 2011, the day after the very first farmers market with two large buds in my hands...(see picture below)

I absolutely remain within my legal numbers, follow the rules, respect the law and have no problems.

If you think that you might be at some risk merely attending a LEGAL CFM carrying a legal certificate, than it is best that you keep your paranoid self at home. For the rest of everyone, there is no risk to you the consumer as long as you FOLLOW THE RULES.

    Happy Growing!!

Its nice to live in fantasy land but dispensary owners are still being arrested and the rates will rise even more as our legislatures left us hanging out to dry again.
The feds could care less what our state laws are, they are only concerned with federal law. They are still hitting dispensaries in every state that has MMJ laws and that will continue till our congressmen address the issue.
Nothing wrong with running a dispensary, but it doesn't pay to live with your head in the sand about the risks that are involved.

Fantasy land....lol...I'm in Washington, not California.

And how exactly does that tie into the CFM's? So far, most of the dispensaries raided had their medicine and equipment stolen by the feds but unless there were outstanding warrants, were not arrested. I'm not saying that makes it OK because it doesn't. You are comparing Apples to Oranges when you switch from some dispensaries getting busted to the CFM getting busted. It could happen but has not happened yet. In my "fantasy land" we deal in fact, not potentials......I mean the market could get hit by a meteor which is just as goods a reason to stay away.

Agreed. Although they seem to respond mainly when requested as was the case in Eastern Washington and Montana last month. In these cases, local officials called the feds and asked them to intervene because in Montana, the voters passed a law and the right didn't like it so they demanded the feds come huff and puff. They raided ten shops, stole the gear and arrested only one person due to an outstanding warrant.

I'm not trying to suggest that I can outguess their intention, I'm just recounting was has occurred so far.

I am less familiar with other states although I have heard recently that the Feds have been active in both Cali and Colorado.

That's true, but it's even more important to know the facts and to do all in ones power to remain within their legal limits. Might not stop the feds, but you have a much better chance before a jury of your peers.

    Safe growing!!
