Should I trim all the growth in the bottom center of my plants?
I'am trying to figure out if I should trim all the bud growth in the lower center of my plants? It's in week 4 of flower and man is it really filling out! :smokin: But there is several bud sites in the area I'm speaking about and don't know if it would be bad to trim back in the flower cycle???? They get barley any light and figure if I trim them back than I will get more energy to the top colas??? Am I right? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance:thumbsup:

Even grow books differ when it comes to this. I would say trim half of them and compare the difference. Me personally I don't trim anything in flower, as I use the partial harvest method.

I would suggest just trimming the last 1/3 of each fan leaf away to allow light to penetrate while still providing light to the main colas. Don't remove the leaves!

I trim the really thick plants like Purple Kush and Gods Gift to let air and sun in to prevent mold. The buds are so thick they will just mold from the dew at night otherwise. The Pineapple has thin airy leaves so I don't trim any leaves unless they are already dying. With Sour Diesel I just trim a few of the leaves to let light and air in. I trim the popcorn buds only near harvest when I am sure they won't get any bigger.
I finish all my plants outdoors so the info on whether to trim indoors may be different.

I trim what is going to end up useless all that small stuff is useing energy that you can transfer to your nice buds. Just my 2 cents but try it on a couple plants and I think you will be impressed.
