How to grow organic outdoor cannabis in the UK type climate (essay)

    https://we.riseup.net/greenearth/how...-in-ritual-and

I'm now thinking along lines of directly sowing outdoors into prepared beds or ammended wild locations...using natural or managed mulching systems and true breeding stabilised strains in order to:

Avoid having small plants that have to be planted out with great hassle of soil moving and the like, to have a more natural vibration, to save money and being able to share seed for free.

But which strains?! (true breeding for outdoors UK). Afghan 1 and Hindu Kush look cool. Durban Poison of course. Seedsman do (did) a nice looking true breeding Mexican Sativa...Any other ideas people?

4-6 oz per plant? Thats incredible for autoflowerers! I've found that A/F's usually dont get bigger than 1.5 feet or so with a 1/8th or the like or dried bud if u'r lucky (as opposed to 4 oz of dry bud as a ballpark figure for regular plants that are well sited and tended). It might be different under lights or a part of the world that has high intensity and regular all day sunlight, which isn't the case early season especially in the UK/Ireland. It has been hot recently in the UK - temperature reaching 27 degrees centigrade, like a summer heatwave. Its back down to normal levels today.

My m8 got quite good results with Hindu Kush in North West Wales by the way...much wetter in general than the south east of the UK.

Surely a strain like 'hollands hope' would finnish in Ireland? It might get soaked, but it would still technically finnish. Or one these new cultivars from Female Seeds like their (good looking) Purple Moroccan, which appears to be made for your needs.

The other option is locally developed strains. (which can be really good true breeding lines). I had some sativa-erish local type from Herefordshireway (hippy growers) recently - smaller buds, quite rough, but potent, and with that organic outside vibration! The real rastas in cities only smoke this sort of ganja (outdoor grown, not neccessarily organic) unusally imported of course in their scene due to problems finding grow sites in cities. I do really want to get a good line/s going and have large amount of seeds. Its too much all this ridiculasly expensive prices for seeds which causes huge worries over the seed germination and plants...as well as legal issues of course *stress* for buyers in the USA and when the plants are being grown to planting out size. It would be so much easier to plant the seeds directly into the ground like any other horticultural seeds. All the hyping is disruptive to effect.

It's difficult also I find to be totally organic...at the least using slug bait of the toxic type...nothing else seems to work. The need for slug protection does vary with weather and site. Brackenated clearings seem to be practically slug free in the UK, and wet weather will cause a boom in slug numbers, sometimes requiring massive amounts of slug bait to be used to execute literally hundreds of slugs that move towards the plants like something from Close Encounters. Derr Derr Derr Derr...
