Drug Test in Less than 24 hours. Help me!

A week ago my buddies and I took a hit from a gravity bong. Then days later I got a call from a job I applied to long ago, asking me to come in for an interview today.

So I show up and the manager tells me I got the job, but it's not official until I pass a drug test tomorrow morning. Freaking the hell out, I go to Walgreens and buy a drug test and end up testing negative.

I'm still worried because it's only been a week since I took that GB hit and I haven't done much to flush the THC out of my system. Though I have a theory on why the test tells me in the clear.

I'm 5'11 and weigh 149 pounds, I started smoking pot on January and have only smoked once a month since then. My metabolism is also pretty fast, so could this have attributed to the THC disappearing from my body in one week? I really can't help but worry and while I was thinking of using a friends clean urine for the test, I don't want to risk it if this home test says I'm in the clear.

Does anyone have any similar experience/knowledge about all of this? And if so, could you please help me understand how accurate these tests are and how the labs test my urine?

When youve tested yourself, did you use the first urination of the day?

Does anyone have any similar experience/knowledge about all of this? And if so, could you please help me understand how accurate these tests are and how the labs test my urine?

The lab will first perform an Immunoassay screen with likely a 50 ng/ml cutoff limit, which is the same as most home THC tests. Because home tests function on the same principle as the I/A screens, one is no more accurate than the other.

If the sample tests negative on the initial I/A, the testing process is over then as a "pass". If the sample tests positive, it will undergo a confirmation test using the GC/MS, which is more accurate than the I/A.

To answer your question, no it wasn't my first urination of the day. It was actually my second around 3pm (I woke up at around 9 or so).

If it's any help, I'm getting tested by "Quest Diagnostics" so maybe you or someone else might know how they operate.

Anytime you test yourself, always use the first urination when you wake up. The first urination contains the highest concentration of THC metabolites. Fluid consumption (normal or above normal) during the course of the day skews the test results when the test is taken during the afternoon or evening.

If you test negative using the first urination of the morning, youre good to go.

So the wise thing to do is buy another drug test? Shit, more money spent on this stupid drug test for a shitty job. What the hell though, I've come this far so I might as well go through with it, then pray to God I find someone with clean urine to give me if I test positive in the morning. The person I was counting on bailed and it's getting late now and I fear I can't get in touch with anyone at this time.

Yep.

And if you test positive and cannot obtain a clean persons sample, consider visiting your local headshop for some synthetic urine. Yes, it will cost you some more money, but if you want to play, you gotta pay.
