Anatomy of a Super Lemon Haze
Hey all,
In case anyone is thinking about growing Super Lemon Haze here's a bit about the experience I've had. Not really a grow log, but hopefully informational.
Here's the basic facts:
Greenhouse Seeds - Super Lemon Haze, Feminized. Plant in the photos was a cut from the original seed plant, vegged for 3 weeks under T-5 panel to a height of 22"
Pro Earth #2
Pro Can container, #7 - about 7 gallons.
Light - 1k hps, 8 tube HO T-5 panel, fixed height with 6' 2" to the bottom edge of reflectors.
Temps run in the 70's with lights on, low 60's when off, humidity 50-60%
Flower time 69 days.
Plant height at start - 22"
At harvest - over 6'
If you're interested in growing a cup winner, this is a great strain if you have the room. These suckers will get huge! I let the original seed plant for this one veg too long, it grew to nearly 7.5' and had to be taken out. Plan on a stretch factor of at about 3.2 to estimate growth during flower. If you're space limited, bending may work. I wouldn't recommend topping, they get way to leggy and would take over a space. This one finished right at 10 weeks and was on water for the last 2.. Check out the stalk, it started out about pencil sized, at finish was 2.5" and I couldn't fit my hand all the way around it! I'm estimating the final yield to be 7-8 oz.
The plants in the last picture have been in flower for 12 days and have already doubled in size!
Enjoy!

Anatomy of a Super Lemon Haze
Thank you sir!
One of my wifes friends really likes SLH as it's one of a few strains that actually helps her, Her caregiver stopped growing it, and I've been debating on picking it up.
In your opinion do you think it would do well in a SCROG grow?
I train and top during Vege, and continue to train during stretch after the flip, if that bit of info helps.....
How long was your vege time before flipping those last 2 girls?
And I'm done with the 20 questions!

Hey Canawhatsis,
Even though I've never grown using SCROG before, from what I know, I doubt this strain would be very suitable for it. You could potentially bend it sideways and let the branches grow up. Check out Washougal Wonders Thai grow..
The last 2 only vegged about 3 weeks, if you go much past they'll get too big and cause the problem I mentioned above with the 7.5' one. I've found that if I flip them before they get to 24", I'm ok. I do bare root clones in a clone bucket, plant in #1 pots and leave them for 3 weeks at the most. Repot to the #7 pot and flip. Seems to work.
If anyone has done SLH in SCROG, please feel free to chime in.
Peace, Farmer Rich

I've been following WW's Thai since before the beginning of that thread!
I'm happy with any insight into this strain.
My Island Sweet Skunk would just about triple in size when flipped,.... F'n amazing in SCROG,... not sure I liked it grown natural. Either way that clone I had as a mom was a hermi, and is dead now.
ISS was the other strain that helped my wife's friend, so I'm trying some from seed as I still haven't been able to source a SLH clone!
I know "Haze" Phenotypes/genomes are low yield ( at least by what I've read ) I'd say your pull of anywhere near 6oz off of that lanky thing would be amazing!!!

The Lemon Skunk seems to help the yield on this strain. For this plant I'm leaning back towards 6 on my estimate too. The other seed plant that I call SLH #2 produced a bit over 10, with some of the nugs being a bit larger. The new ones are clones of it.
Peace,

Looking to be about 7.5 oz, in line with the original estimate. Not bad, but I'll probably keep the SLH #2 as it appears to produce a bit more... we'll see in about 2 months.

Here's a few pics of those 2 new plants earlier in the thread at 12 days, at 39 days and a bit over 6' tall. I'm expecting them to finish somewhere around 70 days.
Glad I took the pics, I've since treated that little bit of powdery mildew showing in one of the pics.. I do love how they grow bud all the way down to the bottom.
Peace,
Farmer Rich
