Please Help Noob With Lighting Question

I am at the end of week 1 of flowering and as of right now I am using 2 100w cfl's @ 1750 lumens each as well as 2 24" floro Walmart gro lights and 2 60w cfl's. Now I wonder can I go to Home Depot and purchase a 400w hid light bulb and 1 mogul to allow the hid bulb to be used? I am on very tight budget and I Home Depot has the bulb for 28.00 and fixture for 8.00. The 400w hid has 37000 lumens, will this be ok for flowering and finishing off plant to harvest? Thanks for any and all speedy replys.

You have to run a ballast to use that light.
If you are not sure what a ballast is, then I recommend forgetting about that bulb.
Electricity is not something everyone should be playing with. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the input. Then why do they make the moguls for standard sockets to accecpt 400w hps bulbs? So I can burn y house down....LOL.
