Lafayette to ban caregivers tomorrowforwarded to me. Lafayette is limiting to 12 per "dwelling. So, if you aren't a homeowner, you do not have the right to a caregiver in Lafayette.

 Mr. <X>

My understanding is that the caregivers NEVER had the right to grow all the plants in their dwelling. If they had a card, they could grow six for themself, and grow the others in the dwellings of their patients. The only thing that was changed was that if you had two people with cards in one dwelling they could grow 12 plants, not be restricted to six. We will be having the second reading of the ordinance tomorrow night, and I encourage you to attend and comment if you still feel that this ordinance prohibits caregivers.

 Thanks,
 Frank Phillips
 Mayor
 City of Lafayette

 Mr Phillips

What I see in the minutes is this:

"A motion to amend Ordinance 10, Series 2011 was made by Mayor Pro Tem and seconded by
Councilor Kracha to change the number of allowable plants from six per dwelling unit to the State
standard of six plants per person with a maximum of 12 plants per dwelling unit. The motion passed
5 to 2, with Councilors Buechner and Lupberger voting no."

This DOES in fact outlaw non-profit caregivers in Lafayette, in opposition to Colorado's constitutional protections. Please remember, patients and caregivers are NOT businesses. I still stand to lose my caregiver. 12 plants per dwelling unit is not a state standard, by any means. Am I misunderstanding something or was this changed? If my caregiver cares for his wife and two other people, those two other people have lost their caregiver. Please help me understand your response?copobo Reviewed by copobo on . Lafayette to ban caregivers tomorrowSame as Denver. Apparently Rob Corry and the rest of them are to busy helping dispensaries fill out paperwork to concern themselves with unconstitutional assaults on caregivers.
