Just got back from Fort Worth. I had a really good week there, and met some top people, both in and out of work, and I have to say, Torog, Amsterdam et al. and all you other Texans out there.......Well, you gys just keep on keeping on.
I wouldn't have believed it until I'd seen it, but what is going on in that sate is like....nothing I've ever seen. I though Riyadh was kind of full on with the call to prayer and all that, never see the women etc etc, but Texas I have to conclude is a world unto itself.
Why do we see some extreme veiws from from this lone star state (note I'm not stating that they are right or wrong)? Well, I guess the whole place kind of lends itself to it (and I base this though after having discussions with colleagues from Austen and Galvaston) and given the media and general 'wild west' type attitude out there, why would you know any better?
Nice place, like to visit again, but my word.......
Howdy Funken Monken,

The West begins in Fort Worth..I'm glad ya got a little taste of it,but I reckon that you bareley scratched the surface. Did ya have any real Texas bbq ? Did ya git to go to Mickey Gilleys ? How about Six Flags ?

Dang..you were only an hour and a half from me,I live west of Fort Worth..you're welcome to stop by,anytime ,we'd be glad to have ya visit --don't be shy..lol.

We like that Texas is a whole 'nother country Us country-folk do have alot of the frontier still in us..we all believe in goin to Church regular,we love America and Texas..I reckon that we feel strongly about some things..but we're hospitable as all git out !

Have a good one..y'all come back soon..hear ?
