Drug test samples thrown out...am I clear?

Hi all, I'm having a case of anxiety here, even though I'm telling myself everything is fine.

I took a surprise drug test during a physical yesterday, but I was prepared with Agent X. I am not worried about passing that part, since I saw the tech use the 5 panel dipstick device and then pour the entire cup down the toilet.

I am worried a little, though, because she told me she was giving me a drug and alcohol saliva test. The wand she used wasn't like any I've seen for a multi-panel test, it was a single panel paper strip. All of the strips like that that I have seen for oral use are for alcohol only. I am not worried about passing that, since it was 9:30 in the morning. What worries me, is that it might have been for something else, the end turned faintly pink when she took it out of my mouth. She did throw it away, though, so I am assuming that it won't be going for any confirmation tests and I passed.

If a tech throws a sample away, then the test passed the screening, right? All help and advice is appreciated.

what kind of question is this? Are you serious? Why would you be worried if they threw it away? Are you worried they are going to wait till you leave and retrieve it out of the garbage? I don't get what your worried about here?

I am a nut, and I am having a difficult time with my anxiety over this test. Thank you, though, for the reality check. Yes, I am worried that I failed for some illogical reason.

Your reply did help, though. I prefer to be crazy than to fail a test, so this is good news so far. :thumbsup:

Got the job! So yes, if your test is thrown out, it's negative.
