The origin of the confederate flag IS from the south. The south eastern states. Different people will give you different opinions as to what it means. Some say it represents an ideal of not giving up in what you believe in. Some will say it is a racist symbol. Others say it's just a cool flag because of the Dukes of Hazzard. Google it and find out.....

I've only noticed the symbol in one place and it is in the avatar of GaGrown. Hopefully he chimes in.......
