WHITE WIDOW WHAT THE HECK!!

High All, hope everyones well! growing some ww and she's 73 days into flowering today and bursting with trichs:thumbsup: I've kept my temp around 73-76 degrees during lighting and no less then 59 during sleep, the problem is that the trichs are all mostly cloudy! very little amber!!:wtf: so she's obviously not done? or is she??


A friend told me he's gone 85 days on ww and the trichs never really amberd up, said the trichs looked about the same at 85 days as they did at 70 there was a little more amber but not much! said it looked about like what my looks now, and that he wasn't able to get the heat up in his space to where mine is and that may have affected his grows trichs and time length?

But when he harvested the plant it was "KILLER" smoke! TOP SHELF good!:jointsmile: but it never did amber up the way he was expecting.

So am I waiting for something thats not going to happen anyway? do some strains not turn amber as much as others? I'm still very new to this!!!! thanks :beatdeadhorse:

100% cloudy=100% potency.........amber trichs are degrading ....depending on the light they are receiving and variety as to speed of ambering ...to stoned to write correctly ..never mind

I never actually checked my original WW and it was awesome so there may be an exception to that strain. I always have to see at least a few brown or amber trichomes before I will harvest. I can see cloudy trichomes as soon as the plant starts to produce them.

seventhchild seems to be an experienced contributor so I don't like to argue but all of my weed was much better after I got the hand microscope from Radio Shack and started really checking the trichomes. I have harvested too early in the past for a number of reasons like helicopters flying over or rainy weather but now I stick to the end regardless and the results have been excellent.

Your plant may just decide it is done and you will have to harvest anyway. But as long as it looks healthy otherwise I hold out for the amber or brown trichs.

i did not mean to imply that amber is "bad" ,only that amber trics modify the medical effects .....i in fact harvest various verities between 10% and 30-40% amber depending on the needs of the patient ....it is very rare to have 100% cloudy with no amber,check many places on the buds with at least a 16x mag...
