Hot Shot Pyrethrins Fogger OK to use

I read an old post by Stinky where she recommended a Hot Shot Kitchen fogger, I have been unable to find this name on a box, assuming it is now called a Bedbug & flea fogger due to current infestations, marketing effort. This is a Pyrethrins based product. I have 10 day old seedlings in room , will they be OK with this product? Just started and there are pest flying around and on my plants already, need to eradicate these buggers

Using any thing like that on seedlings that young would probably end badly.

+1 to what Ga said,... spray your soil with neem, there's a good possibility it's fungus gnats, a topical neem application that's watered in will cure them in 2-3 weeks,.... use the neem every 2nd or 3rd watering to prevent oil build up on the roots choking them, and SPRAY the topsoil before watering, do NOT water neem mixture directly into the soil!

This method has halted fungus gnats, and a potential root aphid infestation in their tracks after several months of NOT applying Neem on a biweekly basis. (done as an experiment to see how long it would take for signs of bugs to show,... now I'm back to my normal routine! ) Not to mention, I've seen not hide nor hair of a spider mite in my grow in over a year!!!!

Neem is also known to systemically knock down PM in plants,.... perhaps its a coincidence I've never seen PM in my room?

Wife got paranoid about the last post, so here's the edit.....

when Ga, and myself say "Spray" we mean spray it with the mixture as per the directions on the bottle,...

Neem mixed with water, and some mild soap ( I prefer Dr.Bronner's ) as a wetting agent.

There is no difference in the mix that I use for spraying the leaves against mites and thrips!

Do NOT use straight Neem oil!

There that should make the wife happy.imp:

That would'nt be a good Idea... Since Neem is an oil it won't act as water will. Meaning it won't evaporate. It would sufficate you new roots, if seedlings or cuttings are planted. Transplant into your new potting soil and SPRAY the top surface as well as the undersides of the leaves. In about a week spray again. But please don't try to use it when flowering.Neem is a maintenence tool. When used correctly it will ward off most pests.Even eradicate them!

SLOW DOWN here. Yes the bug bomb will kill the seedlings. Even Neem is too soon. Those seedlings will do fine for awhile, as is. One or two bugs are not the end of the world. A few flying gnats can be a nuisance. I like to keep some of those fly catching sticky strips in my grow room for them. Don't start Neem until the plants have at least 3 pairs of true leaves.
