ok well it depends how long your keeping the week. If its in a ziplock bag for 1-2 weeks it will probably be fine. I always put my nugs in 2 ziplock baggies and will keep it nice and moist for abotu 3 weeks. But in actuality weed will never go bad. I've found a joint that was a year old and smoked it, and still got high. IF your going to store weed for more than a month I'd suggest putting it in a glass jar, like a masons jar. That will keep it fresh for a VERY long time. Hope this helped.
