The least you could use is a 60-105 wattage compact fluorescent (it would be better to get the 105 wattage bulb). The "warm white" labeled bulbs are suitable for all stages of growth. You could buy a desk lamp also.

Well I cant put it any better than what Sensi Super Skunk said but Ill give it a shot,

If you want a decent grow go get a few 4ft shoplights you can get them and the bulbs at almost any hardware store for about 10-12 dollars. but if space is a concern and you looking for a little higher wattage get a few cfls.

---Now heres what I recommend doing---

If you have got a dollar tree around where you live and are not afraid of a little wireing you could get a bunch of the 15w, 20w, or 30w cfl lights for a dollar a piece, I got 10 of the 30w lights ,20 pack of the light plugs, and 10 yards of electrical wire for $25 exact today.

And if you cant find a dollar tree with the lights go search at all your local stores their would almost haft to be a store at which you accept the prices.

    heres the bulb lumen output,
    15w-1130 lumens
    20w-2010 lumens
    30w-3050 lumens
please note all of the bulbs are cool white.

    well hope that helped

I am very closely related to Johnny Mann the sheriff of lee county kentucky back in 1989 who got sent to prison for allowing the trafficing of marijuana through the state of kentucky. Johnny was screwed in a deal with Harvey Pelfry and some others who were helping him traffic got busted and blamed everything on him.

Nah, you could just buy some desk lamps and then customize them as much as possible, removing unneccessary things such as the lamp's base, etc. All you need is a grounded outlet and an extension cord or few.

Regular bulbs don't provide the necessary spectrum of light required for plant growth. But most compact fluorescent bulbs come in "warm white" and "cool white".

yea dude use compact floros .....the bigger wattage u buy the bigger of a white base that will be on the bulb...i think its like i very small ballast or something...anyway the point to my post is do like they say and get some desk lamps...take off any shade or parts that would interfear with u being able to screw in the bulb ( b.c the white base may be in the way ) if u need to hang them as the plant grows they are lightweight so im sure you could find small rope to do so and that sould fix you up....just be real careful man u live in an apartment and i know you said u been there a while and had no visits from the office but you have to stop and think ya you will be great and smooth sailing for atleast 2 months no prob...but as you vear into that 3rd month and you begin to flower those babys will get larger in size and begin to smell like what your growin ....my 2 cents.....peace
