    green house plants

hey peeps i have a green house grow that's doing pretty good, except that im having issues with branches now not being able to support the extra weight of the leaves and soon to be bud they just droop over , cuz im thinking that there isn't any wind in there to toughen them up , right now i have to door open and some wind is getting in there but not enough for them to get the proper support potential over the next 4 months so what should i do to get then stronger, running a fan in there is not possible seeing how my electric bill is outrages right now like 300 bucks a month practically ,

    Hello TreeBeard,

The ideal way would be to try and tuffen up the plants. Maybe use some silica additive.

If that's not possible, you can tie up the branches or hang a string trellis down from the top of your GH.
If that's not possible you can erect a metal trellis from the floor of the GH or use a tomato cage.

I tie the plant up with lots of sticks near harvest. I usually use the bamboo ones from Home Depot since they don't rot for several years. I also but the metal ones but they are very expensive. Get the green flexible tape to tie the limbs to the sticks. Some plants just need help.

The plants look ok, not sure I can see details enough to tell but I think it is just starting to show it's sex.

How many hours of daylight are you getting ATT?

BTW, tomato cages are great for supporting plants and branches, good decision.

Not sure about the veg cycle ending. Like oldmac I wonder about the lighting hours. Also what are you trying to accomplish - light dep early crop or going to natural light or what. Pics are always nice maybe the space is just limited. Try adding new ones to another post.

Well im living in southern cali at the 32* degree mark , not totally sure of the light hours. i have more pics and have added at least 8 more plants to the house, i went the Oldmac way and used the tomato cages but they just got in my way so took them out and well the plant just started to do fine on ther OWN , sweeeet! check out some pics i have . i think one of the PE plants is going to be male because ever other plant including SSH has show the female sex, heres keeping my fingers crossed that it is a male so i can isolate his ass some where and use him to cross pollinate with PE and SSH lol .
