Too much light?

I had done some posting of my grow in another forum and was advised to reduce my lighting. I had been using 4 35w 6400k cfls and 1 90w tri band ufo LED. I had some problems with my young babies with yellowing, necrotic tips, and drooping. I turned off all lights except 1 of the cfls. I also added some technaflora magi-cal to my distilled water. The girls perked right back up the next day, no more droop, the color getting darker and some fresh upward growth. I am wondering if the recovery was due to light reduction or the magi-cal? Opinions please?

I have been posting on RIU but I realized today, I started here and went all through the pains of choosing soil/hydro, tent/cab, LED/HID etc etc etc... So after all the whining y'all put up with it did not seem fair to not post my first real grow here. I finally went with a 36"w x 20"d x 64"h tent from HTG (won that on ebay $106.00 w/shipping!)
