Ultimate plant cage
hey everyone,
im new to this growing thing and im on my third run. i've done okay so far but am struggling with the plant support as they get bigger. i've been using the bamboo but its very hard to work with because its far too tall for my plants and its hitting lights, fans, etc. its not allowing me to lower my lights to get more lumens exposure. also its hard to move them around and spin them throughout the run, its as if once u stakes the plants that its stuck there. i was also told by a friend that your bamboo can hold mites and other bugs. is this true? i saw in the store a product called ultimate plant cage. seems it will solve my issues. has anyone used one before or can tell me whether it really works? i found the following clip on youtube which shows it:

looks pretty legit to me. I realy like how they added the attachment for the three hoses to water the plants. very creative. i would definitely give that a try. the only concern i would have is not about vertical space but lateral space and how close together you could et your plants to eachother without those poles gettin in the way. but as i see they are adjustable. hope they are not too expensive i could have used those in my grow. give them a try and keep updated on how they work

First, that does look like a very nice support. It seems flexible and I would guess it can fit your needs. The product caught my interest as someone who likes gimmicks that make farming life easier.
I want to ask/suggest about what you are doing to increase the natural supporting factor of the branches and stems?
Some things that I have tried include techniques to stress the stems via fans/wind and via centrifugal forces by shaking or spinning a pot on occasion, and via bending and LSTing. I also grew from seed which results in better stalks from what I have been told. I am about 35 days into flowering on a 15 gallon plant and I do not use any supports.

i went to the shop and brought a few to give them a try. so far so good, they seem to be working well. i have also got my fans going and always spin the plants. it seems the cage is good for spinning because i can make the poles go vertical so i can spin them easier and they don't hit each other. seems more organized and clean. i checked out their Facebook page (global garden friends) and they mentioned a new product coming out soon called a one hand plant clip. kind of curious how that will work so hope they release some photos or something.

i found them in my local hydroponics store. i suggest telling yours to get them in stock. i have a friend of a friend who saw the ultimate plant clip at the denver max yield garden expo over the weekend who said they are really cool. they have a leaf design on each side and they are used with one hand. sounds pretty cool to me. i wonder where to get these?

That kinda looks cool, Personally I love my tomato cages, all different sizes, put them in when you transplant from veg to flower and good to go for the run, I started off on bamboo too, and I HATED them.
