    Obama's Popularity Meltdown

Revolutions should bring about a change, doubt that electing more of he same will change anything.

    Obama's Popularity Meltdown

There is an off switch on that tv box you know... don't let it give you a stroke.

So, I get it that you are angry. So are a lot of other people... on both sides of this issue. What it takes to resolve something like this is for cool heads to get together and discuss and work out differences. Displays of emotion, insults... none of this helps. So, back to the issue at the top of this thread... Obama's popularity is melting down... it can't be denied... the numbers don't lie. So what can the Dems do to fix this? Is it the end of the party as some claim, or is there something we are missing here? Can all this somehow be blamed on Bush or Fox News in order to buck up popular support?

As the great Tip O'Neil said, "All politics are local." It's all about the economy. People vote with this in mind. If the President can't fix it in the next 2 years, he loses his job... just like the CEO of a company who can not turn a profit. So get angry if you want, but please direct it at the right people... those who are mis-managing the finances of this country. And again, back to the point of the thread, and a very interesting choice of words I might add in light of current events, yes, Obama's popularity is certainly melting down.

And really, if you truly feel that all politicians are the same and that no matter who we elect, it all is going to be the same, I really feel sorry for you. Have you never had a friend or a relative who ran for office because they wanted to make a difference? Do you flat out reject that people like that can and do exist? Yes, we can see many things that show us that government tends to be corrupt, but upon analysis it turns out that the mistakes made can be traced to a few powerful people. People who used their time in the limelight to bolster their own positions and bank accounts. Now we see the other effect that comes from such abuses of power, the repercussions of the ballot box. It is coming. The result won't be perfect, it never is. But it will be different, adjustments will be made and the system will survive.

    Obama's Popularity Meltdown

Just wanted to make a courtesy post for those not privy to the current state of my sanity and the current stalled state of the discussion between Emmie and myself. I was just throwing shit around with no rhyme nor reason, no discussion involved. Emmie and myself may pick up on the discussion in a minute, but right now just trying to get my head straight. Just don't want anyone looking at me like I am incapable of responding to discussion like some simpleton who just spams the political forums without actually participating in something that even loosely resembles discussion or debate.

But hell, I did promise meltdowns didn't I?
