Favourite "high-time" Activities?
I play a lot of backgammon when I am high and with the proper meds, it seems to very much intensify my understanding of what is going on in the game. I play out on the FIBS server internationally and am not ashamed to say that I am in the top 10% of the players worldwide. Not bad for a stoned girl from the midwest, eh?
I also enjoy copying morse code in this state. I spend hours sometimes on the radio with my headphones on trying to discern the code from the static, and the stone puts me in a place where nothing distracts me, and I can speak morse code as if it were another language.
My third love is to write while I am stoned. You all get the full brunt of that little side effect here on the forum.
I do some of my best writing when medicated. I used to worry that I only thought it was good when I was stoned, but when I go back later and read some of my stuff from another point of view, I have to admit that it really helps me to be in that state to tap that creative side of my brain and allow it to flow to the ends of my fingers.
I can't seem to study while medicated though... Retention is not the problem, its concentration. My mind gets too active and reading makes me jump from thought to thought unless I severely discipline myself... something I can not do very well in that heightened condition.
