LED Grow Light Dectectable?
ok i have a question about the led grow lights.
Can these be detected by police helicopters?
After all the research i've been doing it seems they can't as they dont let of hardly any heat but just want other ppl's opinions.
Also i've noticed alot of debate on if these work or not as some ppl say the do and others say they don't.
there are recent LED's out called ISIS FX1, FX2 and FX3
The FX3 700 watt panel aparantly is the same as using 2000w HID
and from the picture guides i have been looking at with ppl using them they are having outstanding results.
but my main concern is if they can be detected by police helicopters

LED Grow Light Dectectable?
it's gonna be in a grow tent in my bedroom. The rafters above my bedroom roof is instulated and i'm gonna lay another few rolls of brand new installation on top of tht for extra protection.
The tent will be on the other side to the window about 6-7 feet away.
Was also thinking of getting some IR blocker to put on the inside of the tent as well for more extra protection.
do you think this will do it lol I'm gonna get the ISIS FX3 which is a 700 watt panel tht replaces 2000 watt of HID

I wouldn't worry about heat at all with LED and I'd worry more about getting a panel that's actually drawing its rated power.
If it advertises 700w and it draws 350w at the wall you're being scammed.
And it appears a HUGE majority of panels are being made like this by the Chinese and they're not telling anyone until they get called out on it and lose face (typical Asian business practice.)

You can touch the light as long as you want, I'll guarantee you the plants can't if the panel is worth anything. You'll be hitting bleaching issues.

it's 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 high. i know it will give of a bit of heat but from what i've read it says u can touch the light with your hand for as long as u like and apparantly they dont let of any IR signals

how big is your grow tent? 700w might be a bit overkill....Maybe a 300w might be more suitable in a tent..Although it doesn't give off as much heat as a HPS/MH,it still give off heat.Make sure you have air circulating

Depends on how well your room is insulated....IR works off of heat signatures, if there's little to no heat outside the room, then no, ya got nothing to worry about. LED's are very bright, so make sure you don't have any light leaks...they kinda put out an alien color that is unmistakable to the informed eyeball!
