Harvesting more developed buds first?

So if your sativa dominated plant is at around week 9 of flowering and the buds on the branches look closer to done than the main cola, what do you do? Is it ok to chop the buds that look done off first, and leave the rest for 1-2 weeks?

Its not a rule against it just know that doing that can and will stunt the growth of your plant. I wouldnt do it just to chop off a few grams and leave the rest.. especially if you're leaving the main cola. I'd take the bulk of it and leave the smaller popcorn buds(smaller buds that didnt get as much light) but I wouldnt do vice versa. All in all since its a sativa and they take so long to flower, I wouldnt want to stunt them so if you aren't harvesting a majority of the plant I wouldnt do it.
