having a problem with cloneing

i made a bubble cloner. air stone, rubber maid box, clear lid that simply sits on top. when i first made it i was just curious if it even would work. so when i trimmed up my plant i thru em in it. i didnt cut it off properly or at an angle. just snipped it off. put it in the bubble cloner to where the stem was in the water about 1/4 inch. i had roots in 7 days. ive cloned from it maybe 6-7 times now, not even changing the water, without a death. maybe its luck, maybe a tough strain...probly both. no need for a water pump, in my humble opinion.
